Tent help please, need one ASAP? United Kingdom?

Trying to find a great family tent, must have 2 bed rooms, big enough for 2 adults, 2 kids, and a baby in a travel cot, plus sewn in groundsheet. Missed out on 1 on Go Outdoors but have since been told buy cheap buy twice!! Sick of looking now…Want a new one so Ebay out of the question..

Hi Charles….Millets and Cotswold Outdoors do some around that price.
For quality versus cost you really can’t beat Coleman. I’ve got three.
Never had a single problem with any of them.
Vango are good too…top quality firm for the real tough stuff and the family tents are good too.
You’re right …buy right, buy once…you get what you pay for, but it goes the other way too.
No point paying £400 on a tent that’s built for far more than you’re going to do with it.
My little Coleman’s have stood up to heavy weather in Scotland, Wales, the Alps, Andes…all sorts. So would a top range Vaude or MSR have done at three times the price….but I didn’t pay three times the price. Still did the job though.
The big one has never leaked once even in heavy rain on Dartmoor with a right old hooli blowing. My mother was also sleeping in it and she was 86…no complaints.
(OK, tough Mum…they’ve lived through two wars and rationing if they’re that age…National Dried Egg…ooh the things you could do with it….)

An alternative solution is to get two smaller ones and put an awning between them or a tent extension piece…even the old gazebo on the back lawn…..all sorts of things possible.
Two tunnel tents with the doors facing and five feet apart, with the gap covered with a sheet of polythene raised on poles one side made a nice twin bedroom bungalow with a shared dining/sitting area when I met a pleasant young lady on a hiking trip last year. Shared meals with an Italian lady just as keen on cooking as myself were a real pleasure.
Worked a treat. Travel is great……
