Where is a good place to go tent near Aspen and Grand Junction Colorado?

Me and my boyfriend is going to Colorado, 13 July-18. We googled good camping sites and fishing spot, but no luck. We would like to have a camp site, overlooking the mountains and near a river or lake to fish because this is one of the main reasons for going to Colorado. Thanks for any suggestions!

Near Aspen, I think the best place to go as far as mountain scenery Maroon Bells. Although there is a lake and a river / stream, I've only seen people from time to time fishing there, so I'm not sure what fish is similar. But the scenery is spectacular and can not be beat, in my opinion .
