Where is a good place to go camping in Illinois / Southern Wisconsin?

I want to go camping in June. I live in northern Illinois, and only recently moved here, so do not know the area. What is a good place to camp?

Search the IL DNR website. I like the Lake Le-Aqua-Na Lena, and rock cut in Loves Park. If you go in Wisconsin, you have to pay extra to state parks, because you are not a resident. Shabbona Lake I've heard is good, but have not been there. I just went to Starved Rock last week, the sites are close together, and fills up fast on weekends. However, walking is not impressive. Lake Le-Aqua-Na, rock cut, and Shabbona also have beaches for swimming, an advantage for me, when it is 90 degrees out! Good luck finding a place! Please send us a message, if you want!
