What is your favorite place to go camping / hiking / backpack near Colorado Springs, Colorado?

I live in Colorado Springs, and I plan some fun outdoor activities for the coming spring and summer. What is your favorite place to camp, hike, and backpack in our area? Until Now, I've spent some time camped in the bush as Lake George, 11 miles away in Woodland Park, etc. .. But I'm looking to find some new ones! Something that hopefully it clean with a small lake near as many users do not know yet, or maybe a secret hot spring walk? If you prefer to remain quiet, do not hesitate to write. GPS coordinates are welcome! I'm not a big fan of the designated camps – and prefer rustic 4×4 camping and good times on foot backpack.

I live in Indiana, but have a cab outside of Buena Vista. When I go in the spring, I enjoy a vist to lost lake. Continetial gap is by a mile or two away from passing poplar. Also I like mine 4×4 to Mary Murphy, a city GOHST little (St.elmo). There are also trail 4×4 (Tincup) that starts in San Telmo. I could go on for days about bueatiful places in the area. These place are PROBally 2 hours drive for you.
