Camping with kids near Sacramento, know of any good places?

We will be driving to a wedding in July, from Southern California (orange county), to Sacramento. On the way back, we are thinking of camping for a few days. Anyone know of any good places south of Sacramento, so we don’t have to travel more north? Anywhere north of orange county before Sacramento would be perfect, so lots of options! We have 2 small boys, 1 and 5, who would enjoy fishing, hiking, swimming. We have camped on the beach before, but maybe something in the woods? Or beach options are great too!

Sorry its 45 minutes after Sac! But There’s redwoods, hiking, fishing, everything! Think its in placer county..Talk to your friends in Sac..They should know, most schools take there kids there!!
