camping foods list

It has been said many times that family camping trips are some of the time growing family to experience. He grew up in Minnesota, some of my best memories were simple family camping trips sleeping in a tent in state and local parks. In our family we progressed with the most modern methods as a trailer or mobile home, task became more. We took so much desired package, set up camp, and cleaning.

I try to make our family camping trips as simple as possible. We all put in our little Subaru station wagon. I have a Thule cargo carrier for the roof. Everything is totally organized.

I begin my planning by developing a simple list of must have items:

Tent
Sleeping bags
Air Mattresses
Stove for camping
Camp lantern
Basic cooking kit
Pressure Cooker
Basic eating utensils
Plates, bowls, cups
Toilet paper
Lighter
5 gallon water jug
Flashlights
Sink
Ax / hammer
Rope
Manual coffee grinder
Drip cones Coffee and French presses or

The more things you take more of a nuisance trip becomes.

Storage

Every item we carry is stored in rectangular boxes Sterilite plastic storage. We pack 4 of them in the back of our van. It is so easy installing the camp. We just pull the storage boxes and grab what we need when we need them. At night, we firmly on the back of our van. All our staff are sleeping in the cargo box on the roof.

Dish

Our kitchen kit is our pressure cooker. Store our bowls, utensils, glasses and all that is loose inside the pressure cooker. Pressure cookers are awesome for camping vehicles, because things like beans and rice can be cooked very quickly. My wife adds a gourmet cooking wok to stir fry all the food.

Easy Family Camping Food

You do not need special food to camp. We tend to eat about the same way we eat at home. We buy lots of fresh fruits and vegetables in markets premises. We carry an assortment of different pastas, dried beans, brown rice, oats and our super famous breakfast cereal. My wife calls this our pantry. We have sea salt, whole peppercorns, soy sauce, hot sauce, and many of our favorite things that may not be able to buy on the road.

Cooler great for perishables

We found this big Coleman cooler that keeps food cold for up to 4 days (really!). We buy fresh chicken, fish, meat, fruit and vegetables on the road and refrigerate for a block of ice or dry ice.

When you have the proper equipment, their family camping trips will be much nicer!

However, even if you have more equipment available, your trip will not be funny if it thinks do the things your family enjoys. The trip is not a race! Take your time and slow.

We have 2 small children. Hunters bring errors to enable play. My wife packs a lot of small toys and books for them. They watch DVD's, when we are traveling for long periods of time. We do all the program Junior Ranger for our children. Love them! Volume for moon walks at night. Even if there's a full moon, the kids want the adventure of walking at night with flashlights.

We stay at each camp at least 2 days. This makes the fantastic experience when you do not camp out all day. We bring some chairs lightweight for my wife and me. Just bounce, drinking coffee and reading books is good enough entertainment for us.
