How would you test if this product really disinfects drinking water. What experiment would you do?
Following the directions on the product label, I would add the amount of iodine product to the amount of water. Separately, I would prepare a Petri dish with agar. I would streak the surface of the agar with some of the treated water, cover the dish, and let it stand a few days. If it grows colonies of bacteria, it didn’t work.
