Would it be a good idea to take my dog with me camping??

I really would love my lil girl to be with us when we go camping! Do you think she would enjoy it? What are some things that i should bring besides the obvious food and water, any tips!! And whats a way to introduce her to the water in the lake where she will like to go swimming and not be scared! I live in south Florida where it is warm, so being too cold isnt a issue! Some tips would be appreciated!! Thanks Everyone!!

Dogs love camping. I would make sure the campsite you plan on visiting allows it. If your dog is a barker when in new situations I would think about that. Bring lots of bottled water-either store bought or from your faucet so she doesn’t have stomach issues from unfamiliar water or from contamination. I would take along her favorite toys-just a few. To get her used to water you or another family member go in and call her-stay close to the edge and slowly go farther out as she gets more comfortable-do not just toss her in or she will become very afraid of it. Keep a close eye on her as dogs become tired very easily when swimming and won’t get out on their own because of it. Good luck”>)
