Where, in or near Greenville, ME, is the historic plane crash site, circa 1940? I think it is a B-9.?

A friend told me about an historic plane crash site somewhere near Moosehead Lake in Greenville, Maine. Since we are camping there soon we thought it would be interesting to see it. My friend said the site is maintained as a tourist attraction, but I can’t find any info on the web.

Hi If You go to where the ship the katadin is right there at the beginning of the lake anyone in that office

will tell you especially the Capt Mike he pointed it out to me once i guess it has been pretty much stripped away for souvin….
But the bulk of the plane is still there good luck and enjoy your visit here..watch out for the locals they bite worse than the black flies of coarse the flies have better teeth tootheses lol
