What is your favorite camping and fishing spot?

I'm near DuPage County, Illinois, near Chicago.

A camping / fishing destination that I have been in near Chicago? The best fishing / camping experience I've had (relatively close to you) would be at Gunflint Pines Lodge MN near the Canadian border. Go to http://www.gunflintpines.com/camp_cabins.shtml Camping cabins are fantastic! It eliminates the hassle of a tent and set up camp, they are more safe and comfortable than traditional Tents have electrical heaters / coolers electric / Stove / etc and generally sleep better after a hard day of fishing. Gunflint Pines Lodge is a GREAT fishing destination where you can take (literally) 50-100 fish per day! Gunflint Pines is located on the border of Canada and has access to tons of fishing opportunities due to many different lakes in the region. And at $ 57 per night you can not find better housing, (period!). Gunflint lake has Walleye and lake trout fishing. Loon Lake has small and large mouth bass fishing in the North. Go check it out.
