Summer camps in New Hampshire?

Next summer I want to work at an overnight summer camp in New Hampshire. I will be 16 years old. I would like to be a counselor. I’m having a hard time finding any camps. Thanks for the help!

Hello~

There are many outstanding overnight camps in New Hampshire that you could work at. I know of three off the top of my head that I would recommend: Camp Hawkeye, Camp Glen Brook, and Camp Walt Whitman. These are all coed summer camps that consist of a variety of excellent adventures for campers. While Camp Hawkeye is more of an outdoors/wilderness sleep away camp, it also has some indoor activities, such as woodwork and arts and crafts. Camp Glen Brook is basically a traditional summer camp, but it highlights creative art as a main course of study while there. And last but not least is Camp Walt Whitman. Camp Walt Whitman offers a variety of indoor and outdoor activities, including photography classes, ropes courses, and windsurfing. Here are the links to these three camps:

Camp Walt Whitman: http://www.choicecamps.com/overnight-summer-camps/new-hampshire/camp-walt-whitman/104/

You should explore these camps to see which interests you the most, and then contact them to apply.

Also, you should definitely check out this website: http://www.choicecamps.com/. You’ll be able to narrow down your search of summer camps to work at, watch dvds, view pictures, compare camps, and check out their activities.

I hope I was helpful and let me know if you have any more questions.
