I'm in the stage of life where many of my friends (who married young!) Are sending their children to college and feel the emotions of the crowd an empty nest. I admit I have not gone through this stage of life, because I have no children, but as a writer, I am an observer of life and my take on it is: like everything else in life, we have an option. You can either choose to feel that you are old and no longer useful, or may choose to see this as a time of renewal of old dreams and goals, and a time to rekindle the romantic spark with your partner especially long. I can think of no better way than to redecorate your bedroom as a place renovation and restoration of peaceful creation of a "second honeymoon" getaway if you will. If college bills loom large, you may Dollarwise do a budget.

Here's how:

1. Decide and Declutter. Clutter deprived of peace of mind and sleep a good night. Go through your closet and get rid of something that no longer fits your current taste or fit. Leave space for new clothes.

2. Vanities monotonous. Dispose of old dressers that are no longer your current taste dà © cor. Donate or used to store the tools in your garage or camp in their basement.

3. Art Smart. Take down any gear and dispose of all types of decorative accessories that no longer absolutely love. Set aside the things we still want maintaining the integration of the new Committee of the Regions © dÃ.

4. Beautiful bed. Is your mattress in good condition? If not, replace and make sure it is sumptuously comfortable. Choose a header or give love a track and hang a large painting charming place.

5. Wonder of the window. Monotone old curtains? Take them, fill the holes in the walls dress cane, and washing windows til 'shine!

6. Finesse Floor. Carpets obsolete and worn? The unpolished wood floors? Replace and repainting. Nor is it so expensive to do.

7. Blanket of beauty. Choose a set of bedding at all makes you smile. Buy coordinating sheets, comforter or bedspread, pillowcases, and curtains at once so all match. Make sure your bed sheets are high thread count. The set the tone for the style of honeymoon "second" suite.

8. Color comforting. Bring your bedding to the paint store and pick one color for the walls and ceiling for a second. They match exactly.

9. Painting Party. I have friends who are empty nesters coming from a pizza and the paint. You can help later in return. Be sure to use healthier without VOC paint.

10. Fine Furniture. You need not break the bank to buy tables and comfortable they are reasonably priced, but have a look expensive. Check furniture catalogs, online and shop sales. Choose a style that complements your bedding.

11. Lighting Love. Forget glow ceiling lights – you want the mood of your honeymoon "second" Suite to be romantic so instead choose bedside lamps in a style and color that love and be sure that the bulbs cast a bright pink or soft yellow.

12. Amazing art. Now is the time to choose a work of art that makes faint. Discount stores often have beautiful art reproductions for a small price, or frame pictures of your sweet family in all frames of play and create a "happy wall collage of family photos. Choose vases and other accessories in colors that complement your bedding.

13. Bathroom Bliss. If you can not afford to replace the tub and sink or not, as its color, resurgent or just replace the fixtures. Paint walls or choose the role painted that color coordinates with the bathtub and sinks. Fresh fluffy towels and beautiful art and bathroom accessories that coordinate with your bedroom color scheme and style enhance the suite look.

14. Movie Magic. Place the TV in a hidden closet or wall mount so that when Friday night can shut out the world when choosing a movie you enjoy them as much as a way to restore yourself a busy work week. My husband and I do this and is happy. You might even consider half of mini fridge with snacks.

15. Final Flair. Time to put everything together. Arrange your furniture in a pleasant agreement, make the bed up very well, hang curtains, the place of art and accessories, and lighting the dim light of night lights. Put some fresh flowers in a vase, in turn lower your favorite music, candlelight, and break the cider!

As I was giving these "second honeymoon" tips to decorate around me-to-be-empty-nester gal friend recently joked, "Second Honeymoon, hmmm … you have a headache in those?" I laughed and said, "No way honey! … So that that brush, put on your best gown and Get going! "
