Can I swim in a lake while pregnant?

Normally I go to Texas for the whole summer since that is when my hubby deploys. We go to the lake at least once a week. It’s not exactly the cleanest lake either. But I don’t wanna miss out on the swimming and camp outs and such. So I’m wondering if anyone knows if it’s okay to swim in a lake, even if it’s not all that clean now that I’m preggers.
