Campgrounds in /on Virginia beach VA?
I am looking to take my kids and husband on a road trip to camp in Virginia at Virginia beach . does anyone have any recomendations on where the best spots are???????
I would love to take the kids to Bush Gardens and to Colonial Virginia too. what a nice vaca. need to research now to save for next year. has anyone gone before???
Hi! i’ve lived in va beach for about 15 yrs… i hear a lot of good things about KOA campgrounds. it’s realy close to the beach

from there Busch Gardens is about an hour away but its worth the trip. it has tons of good rides and a really good section for the smaller kids (mine is 5 and she loves it) also i hear WAter Country USA is nice too but Ocean Breeze Funpark is closer to KOA and cheaper if you’re looking for a waterpark

The “strip” by the beach has tons of things to do like minature golf, haunted houses, fun houses, mirror mazes, resturants, bars & clubs, candy shops.
Also next to the KOA campground is The VA Marine Science museum which has fish, sharks, seals, penguins..stuff like that

Also for kids there is the Portsmouth Childrens Museum which my daughter loves (again..she’s 5, not sure how old yours are) its about 20 minutes away in Portsmouth but well worth it

Anyways…there’s some starting points for you. I hope you have a good time!
