Camping With Kids In Colorado

I’m a born and raised southern california girl, moving to michigan. What should I expect?

I’ve only ever been to Arizona (camping at the colorado river, never got to meet the people), Nevada (just Vegas), and Hawaii (stayed at the Hilton resort). I’ve only ever seen snow the few times I went to Big Bear as a little kid to go build snowmen.
What kind of culture shock should I expect?
Will people treat me like some hollywood ditz or something?
=/
I’m planning on being in this little community for a long, long time.
What should I do to adjust?
It’s a small town (Muskegon). My boyfriends aunt is from the town I’m moving to, and when she moved down here it was a complete culture shock for her. She says she’d never even seen a freeway until she came down here… and that’s just hard to believe for me.

I think you will like Michigan, especially Muskegon, which is on the eastern shore of Lake Michigan. Living on one of the Great Lakes is very much like living near the ocean, which you already do. Midwestern people are very welcoming. I know you will like it here!
