Free Beach Camping North Carolina
FREE Squatting on the EAST Coast?
I am 18 years old, and am about to embark on an adventure to the east coast. I will be driving up and down between new york and north Carolina, and am wondering if anyone knows about any places to stay for free.
Whether this is free camping, or if sleeping on the beach is legal. I appreciate it.
There is no free camping – not on the beach, not in any forests, not in anybody’s yard. If you attempt it you will be arrested for vagrancy. You might also be arrested for air pollution; after a couple of days you will smell really foul!
Your adventure will be exploring the jail cells of small towns. Your showers will be delivered from a fire hose. The fines will vastly exceed the cost of a cheap motel room. This is if you are lucky – and the police find you before some lowlife criminal finds you and robs you down to your skivvies – or worse.
This is really an incredibly stupid idea.
Look online for some cheap motels and make up a list. As you travel, check the list for places near you. Spend the money, take a shower, and sleep in a bed like normal human beings do.
