air force basic training?

is there as long as a wait for basic training for the air force as there is the navy…im depped into the navy right now, scored pretty high on m y asvab good eye sight and everything qualified for most jobs, but the only jobs they had was corpsman leaving a year from then…everyone who went to meps that day got the same job offer same boot camp date…i already sent up my dar to get my job switched and hopefully a closer boot camp date but its been 2 months and haven’t heard a single word…just wondering if the air force had as long as a wait for there basic training

I would look at the Air Force, especially if you do not want to be a corpsman. Usually the Air Force has a long wait. Think about this, do not be in a rush. Get a job that you want because it will be the job that you will have for the next four years of your life. A little patience now will pay off later. What kind of job did you really want?

EDIT: By the way, you may get more pay in the Navy due to sea pay. Take advantage of any delay that you may have. Enroll in your local community college and take some courses. College courses will give your promotion points when you are going from e-4 to e-5.
