Hawaii Camping Oahu
What to do for a trip of 2 to a Hawaiian Island, limited on money?
My boyfriend and I are students on Oahu and are planning on visiting a neighboring island, either Maui or Kauai, for our spring break (5 days). We are limited on money and plan on camping on beaches overnight and hiking trails all morning,
If we go to Maui, we were planning on taking my uncles car using Hawaii Superferry, so that we have transportation, being that we are both under 25 years of age to rent. Cost is approx. 394.77 there and back.
If we go to Kauai, we were going to fly by Hawaiian Airlines, $38/person, but without transportation. We are really interested in doing the Napali Hike in Kauai.
Do you know of any beaches to camp overnight on either islands?
Any options we can do about making a trip to Kauai possible?
Any really good hiking trails to hit up on either islands?
Any tips, words of advice?
