Hiking And Camping In California

hiking and camping in california

I did a horrible thing to my son, I never took him camping. My husband and I traveled around the country in our motorhome. We stayed in Arizona, southern California or Florida in the winter. We visited the State of New York in the fall, the Smoky Mountains in the summer. Right where we wanted to go. But once Tony was born, we sold the trailer and moved out of the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee and never went to camp again. So I never had the experience of camping food, as I did.

I feel sorry for people who have never experienced waking up in a campsite out of starting a fire and sitting around the kitchen and breakfast outdoors. Thus that as a consequence of not to do those things, my son believes he would. My feeling is that he is not put aside a great experience. He thinks the store is too small, the ground is too hard, there are mistakes everywhere, you can not take a shower in the middle of the jungle, blah blah blah. The list is endless. But instead of doing So I turn to the finer aspects of wildlife. There's the clean, fresh air, the moon and the stars above, peace and tranquility, solitude and tasty food of course camping. Need I say more?

One of my favorite parts of camping as a child was the food. But that was the day that did not cook. Check this out, hamburgers and grilled sausages on a bonfire, refreshments on a refrigerator, and become carbon marshmallows over the fire. Now that's what I call camping food. My father even showed us a way to take it to the next level. First, it builds a good hot fire. Wait until some of the burning of wood and has a good red hot coal bed to work. Next, prepare the food. Dice potatoes, carrots, onions and meat. Placing a lot of it, mixed each other, within a fairly large piece of aluminum foil. Wrap it up very well and make sure there are no holes. Now, place the food wrapped in the coal bed. You'll want to use a set of pliers to do this, and especially to get it out. Simmer for thirty minutes and then check your progress. If not so done to your taste, stick back for as long as you see fit. This makes for an excellent meal, and some of the best camping stove I've tried.

Do not call Mother Nature until it has relaxed a bit in his great serenity. The outdoors is the place to get away from everything, because it really can get away from everything. Take a camping trip with his family this summer, and really learn more about each other. Without the distractions of televisions, computers, mobile phones and iPods. Oh, and be sure to bring along a lot of great camping food. That's the best part! Camping food is only one aspect of the experience of camping and despite all that is called "nuisance" I can not imagine a nice way to spend a vacation.
