Where can I go in Missouri / Kansas wilderness camping?

My friends and I love going camping desert (tents, no food, only a machete, a knife and a box of matches), but really we can not do this in more conventional parks. So we have to find a place No fire pits, plug ins, mobile homes or bathrooms. Ideally we want a large wooded area for hiking in any nearby water source. Is there a place like this within 3 hours of Kansas City area? Thanks in advance, Noah

you may want to check out the Jacks Fork and Current rivers in the Eminence Missouri. Not sure how camp is, but a great place to go.
