What are some good places to camp in Missouri?

My sister and I are planning a camping trip in June. This is the first time they have gone camping in Missouri, so I really do not know where to look. Elsewhere in the state would be fine. There will be four adults, two teenagers, and 4 years old. Some of the activities that would be interested in are fishing, floating swimming, and hiking (not anything too extreme). We have seen on the website of state parks, but it's hard to really see what these places would therefore appreciate any input anyone has to offer. Thanks in advance to anyone who We can help.

Hello, I live in the city in MO Jeff and I would recommend Montauk, there is a dock for a river, can u camp or rent a cabin, which have a large hatchery where little could feed the fish and there is good trout fishing. There are Staunton, have holes there, called meramac if u look it up, or you can travel floating in the river, have a toy and a museuom there museuum Jesse James, which is clean for the kids to see, another option is the Lake of the Ozarks, large lake with a lot of things to do. elsewhere is the Cole Camp area, who are a German restaurant, it's nice and quiet and relaxing, not too many people ……… GL and have fun in Mo
