Where can I camp near the NJ shore?

I am looking for a family camping Nice, near the Jersey shore. Some forests, and at least some private for my family and I enjoy ourselves outdoors. We want to make a day / night of camp after a day at the beach. We were thinking at Cheesequake State Park and beach Hook – opinions?

Definitely make a state park. Just be sure to avoid weekends camping holiday due to excessive camping trips people make in those moments. The best time to go camping are weekdays, especially near the beach.
