What is the place called where a gay person is sent to try to make them “normal” again?

I think it is a program or a camp or something. I remember reading about it online or in a magazine. It think the program is funded by a Christian organization.

Beware of the ex-gay programs! They try to intimidate a person into acting straight and feeling guilty about their amorous feelings toward their own gender.

In the long run, the only thing that these programs accomplish with most people is to mess up their heads. These programs have been denounced by former leaders of these groups.
