Would it be easier to pay for an RV / Camper or get an apartment?

Me and a friend were thinking of moving to an apartment, when we realized that obtaining a good RV or camper just $ 12,000 – which could get a loan for it and repay the loan over time (interest not matter), and have the ability to roam and live somewhere temporarily while seeking a job without having to pay for housing.
