Hi, where can I go to camp with a tent in San Diego? how much does it cost?

Camping San Diego – Coastal:

Guajome County Park
This San Diego Camping site offers camping and recreation such as hiking, picnic areas, horseback riding, and fishing. Visitors enjoy a unique blend of history with the historic Rancho Guajome Adobe. Campsite features 35 tent/RV sites.

San Elijo State Beach, Cardiff
Camping, fishing and swimming are available at this San Diego Camping site. There is a concession stand and drinking water. Campsite features 171 RV/tent sites.

San Onofre State Beach, North of Oceanside
This beach has overnight camping and is a popular place for swimming, surfing, fishing, picnicking and hiking. The campsite features 220 RV/tent sites.

South Carlsbad State Beach, Carlsbad
A popular Camping San Diego location overlooking the beach. No day-use facilities. Campsite features 222 RV/tent sites.

Dixon Lake
Camping San Diego at Dixon Lake offers visitors a variety of options, including picnic areas, camping, boating, fishing and hiking. The campsite features 45 RV/tent sites.

Dos Picos Regional Park
Designed for campers and picnickers, this regional park offers a peaceful and shady environment surrounded by oak trees, ranchland and steep rocky slopes. Campsite features 48 RV/tent sites.

La Jolla Indian Reservation
This unique land features over 21 RV/700 tent sites. Pets not allowed.

Camping San Diego – Mountain

Lake Henshaw Resort
Located in peaceful Santa Ysabel, this San Diego Camping experience features 17 cabins, 10 RV, and 85 tent sites.

Palomar Mountain State Park
Camping San Diego at this state park offers picnicking, hiking trails, fishing and close proximity to the famous Palomar Observatory. Campsite features 8 RV/22 tent sites.

William Heise County Park
Visitors enjoy camping among peaceful mountain meadows featuring miles of scenic hiking and equestrian trails and shady picnic areas. Select from 36 RV or 41 tent sites as well as primitive tent group sites or wilderness cabins.

Camping San Diego – Desert

Agua Caliente County Park
This unique park has geothermal-heated springs offering soothing mineral waters in both indoor and outdoor pools. Hiking, picnic area and playground is also available. Open Labor Day through Memorial Day. Full and partial hook-ups with 140 sites.

Anza-Borrego Desert State Park
This state park is famous for its spring desert flowers, desert habitat and visitors’ center. Camping, nature programs, trails and picnic areas are available. The park offers two camping areas, including Borrego Palm Canyon, 52 RV/65 tent sites, and Tamarisk with 27 RV/tent sites.

Vallecito County Park
Camping San Diego at Vallecito County Park offers primitive camping alongside the restored Butterfield Stage Station. Enjoy desert solitude and picnic areas. Open Labor Day through Memorial Day.
