South East Camping

At the heart of the Cascade Mountains of Washington state is Lake Wenatchee, a mountain lake environment that attracts thousands of tourists and is a center of opportunity recreation. The Lake Wenatchee area offers many things to do and it's surprisingly easy to reach.
Lake Wenatchee is located in the state and is accessible from both sides of the state through the Highway 2. The Seattle travelers are most likely coming from Stevens Pass in the west, while travelers from Eastern Washington will come through the city of Wenatchee or Blewett Pass. The lake is 244 feet deep at its deepest and is approximately 6 km long, with just over 13 miles of shoreline. Wenatchee lake is fed by the White River and Little Wenatchee River, with the snow runoff from the surrounding mountains. Lake Wenatchee empties into the east end in the Wenatchee River that flows through the cities of Leavenworth, Cashmere, and Wenatchee before emptying into the Columbia River.
Navigation and fishing are available on the lake, with camping in a number of different places. On the shore, right where the river drains into Lake Wenatchee, is Lake Wenatchee State Park. The State Park is divided by the Wenatchee River in a section north and south, the south with the pier, the beach and swimming area cordoned off. The area beach can be crowded on hot days of summer with campers and locals to cool off in the mountain water. Before entering the southern section of Lake Wenatchee State Park drive through Nason Creek Camp. Nason Creek flows through this small camp and then on the Wenatchee River. Just before the park entrance state, the road to the left, if it were to continue this for three to four miles, take him to Glacier View Camp near the western end of Lake Wenatchee. Many of the campsites view Glacier sit right on the lakeshore. There is also a short walk to Lost Lake on a trail that begins near the Glacier View Camp. Excursions and camps are also available to the west of Lake Wenatchee on the White River and Little Wenatchee River drainage area. The camps are located in this area are more primitive than what they offer, but are also more secluded and private. In this address you can access links to tours of the famous coast road Pacific (PCT), which extends from Canada to California, or take short walks to Twin Lakes and elsewhere. Forest Service and logging roads are also abundant in this area. West of Lake Wenatchee, again on Highway 2, will take Stevens Pass, which offers skiing in winter.
North of Lake Wenatchee Lake fish and is true to its name which is what is known. There are many rental opportunities in the lake fish, both for ships and cabins to stay inside during the night fish beyond the Lake is accessed Chiwawa River area known for its trail system that can be used on foot, mountain bike, dirt bike, and horse depending on what area you are in for the traveler with the time of resistance in this area trails network also passes through the Entiat Mountains and extends Chelan to Lake Chelan, and the cities of Lucerne, Holden Village, and Stehekin, none of which are accessible by paved outside, and also the beautiful Entiat River Valley.
Hiking, climbing, camping and are available to the south of Lake Wenatchee River Canyon in snow. The river flows into the Icicle River Wenatchee in the city of Leavenworth. Many stateaid, if country A is most beautiful hiking trails are out of Leavenworth in the wilderness of lakes in the Alpine area. Hiking and camping permits are required for most of this area as a way of limiting the impact of people in this environment treasure. Icicle Canyon also offers rock climbing opportunities in a number of sites. Snowmobile Tours and activities are available in the Blewett Pass region is also south of Lake Wenatchee. The city of Leavenworth, is a haven of shopperÂ's in Bavaria, with its shops and theme restaurants, the fun we had of all.
East of Lake Wenatchee, Leavenworth past, outdoor activities are still possibilities. Hiking and mountain biking trails can be found outside the city of Kashmir in the area of Mission Creek, climbers can have a go at everything Peshastin Pinnacles State Park has to offer, and certainly not is fishing and boating on the mighty Columbia River flowing right through Wenatchee, the largest city in the region.
From alpine skiing to mountain biking, horse-riders to rock climbing, it is difficult to find an equal to the diversity that this area has to offer. The Lake Wenatchee area has something to offer both enthusiasts of outdoor recreation, and the occasional tourist or camper alike.
