What are some good places to camp around Utah or California?

tent sites with a water source such as a lake or river to fish in the

As far as California, if you have not been to Yosemite, is more than worth your time to check. There are plenty of things to do, either day excursions / trips of a week long backpack / tent cabins and a 4-star hotel in full operation. It tends to get crowded, so book well in advance. Check out http://www.nps.gov/yose/ for more information. If you decide to go to Yosemite, I recommend you go to Sunrise Lakes, is a beautiful basin, near Cloud's Rest, easily one of the best views in Yosemite. I also take a look at Bridalveil Falls, and if you feel it, go by the back of Half Dome, one of the most recognizable landmarks of Yosemite. If you are feeling that some vehicles / day camping, check out Tenaya Lake, a beautiful lake easily handled at the center of Yosemite. http://www.nps.gov/archive/yose/pphtml/maps.html At this link, the first map should show both of the points I mentioned are. Other areas of fun, but within easy access include Kings Canyon, Sequoia, Desolation Wilderness, and John Muir Wilderness (be sure to go to Paradise meadows, my favorite place to go easy in a few miles, some of the most awesome scenery ever saw:))
