i am going hiking this summer, in vermont. i need ideas on where to go. i am looking for a place…?

… that has several mountains around, within a couple miles of eachother, because i we dont want to go full on backpacking, just day trips. the plan is to camp at a campground, and leave in the morning each day and come back each night. we will be there for about a week, and it would be very boring to hike the same trail over and over. ive been searching online but havent found anything helpful. any ideas?
